Howdy... ;)

Well... I feel like I am color blind in Kirupa... Why??? Because I am having hard time to see if a person who I have replied to is online or not, or to figure out the specific forum has new thread in it...

That yellow box with 'K' is not so easy to figure out especially when I am on 1280 x 1024 and 32bit color depth...
That yellow color being a bit dimmed because of its adjacent black borders too dark...

Is it just me or someone else having the same problem??? Maybe I need new pair of glasses??? Hm... :-\

There's this fantastic application out there that does a bunch of stuff with little ram, and little screen space. One such this is the magnifying glass.

I use sysmetrix all the time, and there are skins that allow you to use the magnifying glass, MP3 players, all that junk.

Huh??? I don't get what you are talking about...

I was mentioning the Kirupa's forum area where you see if there is new thread for each forums, and if there is any you see yellow block with 'K' and if there isn't you see white block with 'K'...

Are we talking about the same thing, Aislin??? Are you telling me to get either magnifying glass or the software that I can use to zoom in to the specific position of the screen???

Oh, Jubba... I am not saying that I cannot distinguish it at all... I am just saying it because it was abit hard for ME to see the distinct difference between two small boxes...(Yellow is too faint in that box, yet the smiley's yellow is good to see what it is, at least to ME...) So I thought that I'd ask what others think in terms of the color issue since if there are many people who have same problem as mine, it usually indicates that the color might need some adjustments...

Well... I guess that's only me... I probably am getting older and older and by spending more than 20 years of my life with this stupid glasses, I need another one sooner or later...

:*(

I will quote Brian Regan:

"I went to the eye doctors after about 6 years to get a new pair of glasses. I was like, 'I CAN SEE!' It was amazing. How can instantly improved vision not be at the top of your list of things to do? 'Nah, its ok... I'll see tomorrow...'"

If it's a serious problem that you can't overcome cyan.. I will at least pass it by Kman. There may be something we can do to up the difference between read and nonread threads.

Thanks, david...

All I am saying is that http://64.207.155.38/forums/images/on.gif and http://64.207.155.38/forums/images/off.gif are not so distinctive in terms of color... Like I was saying, maybe I am just getting older and I need a new pair glasses... I guess it is up to you whether you report it to Kirupa or not, but that was my intention... ;)

Hey, kax... I don't really care where it is... As long as I can get online... I don't care... :chinaman:

Hey Cyan:

There may be room for your suggestion... if there were a Secret Council (which there isn't), someone, not me, but someone might mention it there (which doesn't exist)...

I apologize.

Plus! Capital letters aren't yelling
they're emphasis
you cannot yell in text. I don't get how that works, if you can.
