when you upload them through kirupa itself, it is like you have it (the clickys), but when someone uploads them to their own server, you can put direct links in your post, and then they show up one beneath another :)

or, as i found out, if you attach each image separately [ i.e in their own posts ] they show; if you have two or more picture attachments, they will show as links.
