hmm i have a sheet in illustrator that looks clean, but when i save it as a pdf it looks fuzzy and prints extremely fuzzy. Also when printed the page doesn't look aligned dead center. Anyone have some tips?

here is the illustrator and pdf:

www.norcaldesigns.com/jesse/brandImage.pdf (http://www.norcaldesigns.com/jesse/brandImage.pdf)
www.norcaldesigns.com/jesse/brandImage.ai (http://www.norcaldesigns.com/jesse/brandImage.ai)

thanks,
-Jesse

well your center is fine LoL. but the pdf displays fine for me. in your preferences there is a smoothing option check smooth text, smooth line art, and smooth images.

oh i think its because the image size is exactly the size of a page but the printer can't print that size so it scales the image down to fit in the printable area, any ideas wht i should do?

also i think its because it is set at 300 dpi but for like 2inches i didn't know you had to have the image size at like 2500 to print correctly.

Umm... well if you're doing it in Photoshop... which is weird, that you had it in the .ai file... I didn't open that. But in the PDF it was centered. But anywho...in photoshop you should be able to do a print w/ preview, and it will give you options to center it on paper. dpi doesn't matter for positioning.

thats how i made the pdf. But i changed the size in photoshop so the dpi would be 300 at 8.5 inches or whatever and its not fuzzy now. I didn't know you were supposed to work at that size for print work. thanks for the advice thou- Jesse.
