Adobe Photoshop Or Jasc

I am about to start saving for a good graphics program, and i was wondering which one is better, Adobe photoshop or Jasc?

I would definately go with photoshop. Although I think Jasc is a cheaper option, it shows. But that just my opinion

Erm.....well Jasc is pretty good, PS is the dogs though and I think Serif or someone like that has a good one too for relatively cheap.

I didnt like Serif when I used it. But have you tried downloading trial versions? it might mmake your choice much easier

Go for Photoshop CS, I love every aspect of it. If your saving up, Id reconmend saving up for the Adobe Creative Suit just to get a few extra apps such as Adobe Illustrator CS.

do not go with Jasc! photoshop is way better, even if it is expensive, but it doesnt have to be expensive...if u see what i meen.

there is a friend of my who has so much software that i get most of my programs for free... I have got photoshop, flash , dreamweaver and many more software from him at no fee...

Either theft or copied my friend, 2 which are both illegal to do!! I seriously doubt u have a friend who gets your FREE copies of original software!! Unless of course he is highly rich and enjoys giving out free software that he purchases...

@Seb Hughes:- I love Photoshop... I have used it to make banner, modify photos, create logo and lots more... i have never heard of Jasc.... I like the features of Photoshop 7.... If you want to know who taught me Photoshop, guess know...

Photoshop has its advantages and disadvantages like every program...

for a while now app vrs app threads have been just useless, they always end up in app wars and usually have bias opinions, in any case

1: it should be in drawing and design

2: had a lot of spam in here

3: comparing one app to another is a waste of time, both have their own features and their own applications, a little research wouldnt kill you.

4: next time post a thread about jasc asking its features and qualities, not comparing.

5: if possible / available, try to get your hands on the demos
