I think the lighting effect is really cool. Did you do it with the drawing api, because it seems change the angle based on how far your mouse if away from the player. Or is it just a transformed movieclip?

Would you be able to save down to flash MX?

the lightning is drawn using the drawing api. here's the current version i'm playing with, saved as flash mx and flash mx 2004.

lol, good stuff man. Spent ages playing around with the different colour and width settings.
I tried filling the lines, but then it looked very silly.
I'll have to add it to some project later on. :)

yeah. i'm thinking of using it in a preloader; the more is loaded, the thicker the line. or have the chance of electricity sparking between two poles higher. or something.
