ok, this is the flash intro for my companies web site (company as in job, not my own)

I didn't design it but I did create it in Flash and I was just wondering what you guys thought. What basically happened was the designer designed it and then spoke to me about what was possible in flash, I came up with the lines idea.

It took me forever and drove me nuts and I know some of the lines ain't perfect but whats the overall impression

its not bad. seems to be waay too much negative space, or just too much white

Well, not bad. But what's the purpose of the flash intro? Plus, don't like how it's aligned. :hat:

yeah, i found that a little bit odd aswell. the preloader for a mostly HTML page, I know that it is there for that first flash area.. but either the preloader or the flash animation is unnecessary

well i like it. dunno if I like the graphics of the preloader and think there is too much white space on the site.

I like the intro well enough. But on the home page there are three distinct links to overview, institutional investors, and individual investors (which are a little hard to read btw, i'd hate to be an old person and try that ;) ) but once you enter the site you don't have those links anymore.

it's ok not to like it...like I say, I didn't design it

the flash intro is an attempt to jazz up the boring HTML sites of my company. To be honest I hated the design when I first saw it and in some ways I still do. Too much white, very boring, very normal, the design was done by a brochure designer (don't ask)

I'm pleased that with what is a crappy design, I was able to create a decent flash movie. The moving lines was something I'd not attempted before and I'm happy with how it turned out. Not with the design, but with the effect.

I like it, but im not sure about the preloader, and the transition effects are a bit boring... still very good stuff

i like the lines, but the photos you have are a bit wasted bein so small.

but the line effect you talk of is great.

I dig the lines coming together, real nice.

I think the design is pretty crappy, and not much happens after it all comes together.

But definatly nice, well done on the intro :thumb:

I've been trying to figure out how to say this for a while... and I'm sure there's a more tactful way... but could you ummmm STOP POSTING? at least such inane drivel as this! There's nothing constructive, you repeat it all over the forum (like you just cut and paste) and for some strange reason I find extremely annoying. Say something worthwhile, contributing, or just don't say anything!! please!

Is the button on the left supposed to light up all three buttons?
