scrolling background

does anyone have any action script to make a scrolling background? the map for my game is too big :puzzled: i have a top veiw of my character/map

Depends on the kind of game you're trying to create: for a tile-based game, you have http://www.tonypa.pri.ee/tbw/tut13.html, but I think http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88449 (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88449&highlight=scrolling) would be useful too...
