[OLD!!! And oh my word, that name is rubbish.]

Well, I've made a new logo for my site, so I was just wondering what you guys thought.

Edit: It's rubbish. Well, not completely rubbish, but it just wouldn't work. It's old. So I removed it. It's been about a year, anyway. Don't want people using it against me now, do I?

If you havn't already figured out (which I doubt you will) it's a sort of N, which stands for Neuron Designs (obviously).

Weeell?

PS. Not that it matters, but I made it in photoshop.

first look and i thought it was kindof cool looking, though it looks like something that has been done before, though i can't think of what. Didn't see the n at first, kindof looks like a lower case n though. Looks like it will work as a logo, seems like it will be very versiile.

It's supposed to be a lower case N. It's based on this font I saw ages ago. I can't remember what it was called, but I'm sure it was at fonts for flash. You can't really see any simarlarities any more though, lol.

Nothing special. And if I didn't read your comments that the logo had been supposed to be a lower case N, I would guess, that that was N. That's it. Btw, reminds me the logo of Genetic (http://www.xyleminteractive.com/archive/genetic/index.html) by Xylem Interactive.

Well, it doesn't really matter which kind of N it is. It's a N, that's all. Anyway, I'll stop replying for a bit now..

its nice... but the organic blob thing has been done so many times... i don't see much special about it... and i can't see the "n"....

PS. Not that it matters, but I made it in photoshop.
i'd recommend making it in fireworks, freehand, or illustrator. just something vector based so you can resize without loss of quality. i would also design it in just black and white (ie no gradients).

actually, i would make a new logo. something a little more creative and descriptive. looking at that, i have no idea 1) what it is, 2) what it's for. especially with those colors, it's reminiscient of cingular's logo.

Well, thanks guys. I havn't got fireworks yet, but I will be getting it. I was thinking it had too much color in it..

But I can't think of a good logo which has anything to do with neurons (brain stuff, search it in google) or design... or... stuff... Meh.

it's not that your logo has "too much color", it's just that logos should look good without gradients, glows, bevels, etc.

you've picked a difficult name to work with because neurons have a thin structure. why not something like this (http://www.krinc.ru/w715/atlas/neuron.gif) (less the animation), but viewed from a slightly flatter angle. you could make it look 3 dimensional and pretty snazzy.
