fade effect

Can anyone tell me how to make a fade effect from blocks to images (i.e. www.rayoflight.net). I am not reffering to the text effect but the image effects he has on his site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How does he do it? The fades are programmatic; my guess is that the vector "blocks" and bitmap "images" are on different layers, controlled by the same enterFrame actions. That's just a guess.
