the striping is really distracting. if anything, try lowering the opacity on the white. the content boxes are also pretty small and might be tough to work with.

Grungy? It more looks like smbody/smthing was smeared. The "logo" doesn't fit to the whole "design". The menu is pesky.

what unchew is saying is that make the gray lines thinner and change the gray to white... the gray is btn the red and red border... i think...

oh , ok .. but the Grey gives a more grungy feeling i think , and the site is a bit creepy and i personaly thinks its more creepy with dark gray then it is with white .. but should i change :S

Hello there,

Joppe your layout does need alot of work done to it, when I say this I mean that really it'll be better to start another one. Try to use different colours such as light grey's, blue's and a few others because the red is a little weird and it doesn't fit in. But that's just my oppinion I hope it all goes well and you finish with flying colours.

Hello , Hello . Hm.. The site is suposed ( dunno if it spelled that way :S ) too look dark becouse its an dark site and i dont really want to use light colours , im not an rainbow colour man :P How do you mean by the red i think it fits in good . But im kinda weird so thats just me :nerd:

where should i change the font? at the menu ? Well the menu is very blurry so thats something im going to change .. Is there something else that have to be done?

The logo is def. out of place.. that grey also seams a bit dark. The palette (I am assuming it is a paint palette of sorts) in the header is kind of cool.. maybe you could repeat that texture somewhere else, or, fill up the entire header space with it. Overall, it needs more contrast. Maybe you could use real candy canes (or good renderings of them) for your border.. it seams a little flat. If you like the idea then go with it.. it def. needs a bit of work... but that doesn't mean you should give up just yet.
