Madpad Mobile is a Los Angeles based wireless game development company, which specializes in creating fun and innovative games for mobile platforms such as BREW and J2ME.

Madpad is currently seeking highly creative and talented artists for contract positions on upcoming development projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Creating appealing graphics for marketing mockups and proof of concept designs
· Creating original pixel art assets (characters, backgrounds, tiles, etc.) within required specifications
· Delivering all art assets on time
· Optimizing and tailoring art assets to fit a wide range of devices and screen sizes
· Organizing and managing art assets

Secondary Responsibilities:
· Creating web-related graphics
· Assisting the marketing team in creating and maintaining marketing artwork

Required Qualifications:
· Proficient at creating and animating pixel art (low-res video game graphics – sprites, icons, etc.)
· Top-notch artistic and creative skills
· Proficient in Photoshop, Fireworks, Pro Motion or other similar graphics software
· Solid understanding of file size optimization
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Detail-oriented with high organizational and problem-solving skills
· Highly motivated with a positive attitude for an energetic start-up environment

Desired Qualifications:
· Resident of the greater Los Angeles area
· Enthused and knowledgeable about video games
· Previous experience as an artist in the mobile games industry
· Skills in 3D modeling, texturing and animating with 3D Studio Max, Maya or similar 3D software

Salary/Wage: Competitive based on skills and experience
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary/Contract/Project (On-site preferred. Will consider freelance work-from-home artists also.)
Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA
Start date: Early May
