normally a splash page is to state that a flash plugin is needed... you have a detector i presume?

Umm... it's ok. Your sound is a hair off from the actual slamming though, and to me it's annoying, but others may not miss it. It seems like there is a hair of a delay in your sound file.
Your screws could also be improved. As well as that henge.
It's an average splash page though.

Not all the time they dont, I know alot of websites that are flash based that have simple yet effective splash pages that just have an enter button then continue to laod the flash swf. These days I really dont think you need to have 'Requires Flash Player 7' , I mean that plugin is pretty common even with the average computer user.
Back to the design crit: Its not working for me, im not a fan of the whole nuts and bolts and screw type things in websites, however the graphics could be improved a little bit. :D:D

Very nice, indeed. But as has been mentioned, not a suitable sound (over the bird).

Its an interesing idea. I think it might be more effective if all the content loads frist and then the explosion. As it is the action happens too quickly and you don't have time to process it.

I like it better than the one you have now.
