Thanks for helping :)

1) How do I create a text effect in which the text zooms in (sort of through the camera effect) ?

2) How come the Alpha Glow filter, when applied on an image I put on the timeline, produces a very solid color glow, more like a color extending outwards, rather than a smooth gradient glow...

I have Adobe Premiere Pro...

You can't animate a title that way with premiere, only Roll and Crawl are allowed, but After Effects would do it easily... A workaround would be to make your title on photoshop (with larger resolution), and then animate the scale setting on the effect control pannel.

For the Alpha glow problem, just click on the "setup" button associated with the effect - on the effect control pannel. Your problem must come from that "fade out" checkbox... Check it, and everything should be fine...

Ariel.

PS - I work with Premiere Pro 1.5

I check the fade out button but it just gets auto-unchecked .. why?

Hmmm... strange.

This box is supposed to be checked by default, and so it is here...
Maybe a bug or something...

I can't give you any more clue, since it work perfectly here, without having to check the box.

Try it on a fresh, newly created file.

Hm, im puzzled. Anyway, new question, is it possible to crop a clip? like not as in trim, but crop as in like you would crop an image...

Try using the 'Motion' properties for that (in the Effect Controls)

oKay big problem. I just did the text thing in cinema 4d, whatever.

when i export to AVI, using the DivX codec, my DivX player wont play it, my pc almost crashed. my windows media player is screwed up, so i couldnt try with that. i eventually ended up trying to view it using a dvd player software, but when i viewed it it was really glitchy in some parts, and a lot of the fades and stuff werent there.

whats goin on and how can i fix it?

whenever you are rendering from a 3d application to be used in a compositing or video based application like after effect or premier it is always best to export as a sequenced image file (tiff, targa) this way you wont have compression problems and if the render ever stuffs up you can continue from the last frame that was rendered.

? But the video exported from Cinema 4d works just fine in Premiere and it plays fine in the Monitor of Premiere, the problem arises only when I export from Premiere.

I used a couple of differnet codecs, and the sound is fine, just the video is glitchy. Also, the fading effects (opacity changes) won't show up.

ok thats fair enough, something to keep in mind next time when rendering from a 3d application.

regarding premiere, sorry cant help you there. maybe google for a tutorial on how to export from premiere.

Okay, I am officially really really pissed off, I got the video to work, the Intel Indeo 5.1 codec works fine. The problems are:

1) Audio cuts out half-way through.
2) Changes in opacity do not show up in final export.

I will be eternally greatful to anyone who can solve these problems. :)
