So I'm thinking of purchasing a 20" Cinema Display to use with my 15" PowerBook. I currently have an older Professional Series 19" ViewSonic CRT that I use most of the time but have really been thinking of getting the Cinema Display. Anyone have one? I'd like to hear some pro's/con's. The thing that sucks is they're so expensive, but man are they gorgeous. Or can you suggest any other high quality LCD's? Thanks guys :)

This Dells seem pretty good: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=320-1578&category_id=4009 if you are looking for something cheaper.

Though, almost any good LCD monitor would work, for only a few companies actually manufacture the screen and stuff. Here is a review of someone who likes the wide-screen version of the above monitor I linked: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=246836 (a good number of pictures of the monitor are here also)

I've actually seen several people over on MacRumors.com recommending the Dell 20" screen. Seems they've had some good experiences with it, and have found some great coupons for it. Here's a couple of threads that might help.

I have that monitor Kirupa, its pretty sweet. The quality is great, mine is huge!

The only thing that sucks is that I have a dead pixel near the middle, which pisses me off. Oh and they look like crap compared to the Apple Cinema Displays :D

Awesome, thanks guys... those links are very helpful. I'm going to do some more research but even though they're more expensive I'm still leaning towards the Cinema Display. I'm also looking into some ViewSonic LCD's.
