Everytime I log on (im using Windows), the computer opens the system32 folder. I also like the computer to 'Show window contents while dragging' (right-click on desktop > Properties > Appearance > Effects) and it NEVER remembers that I have selected it, so I have to to change the setting every time I log on.

It's such a pain, anyone have an idea why its being so retarded?

There is probably an invalid entry in the registry.Run Regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
There check that the values are not incorrect, incomplete or blank.

About the startup stuff, check out the Startup folder in the Start Menu, but 9/10 times there's nothing in there, the real stuff is in msconfig: WNDWS+R, msconfig [OK], Select the Startup tab and start checking off.

And that other issue with the "Show window contents while dragging" - look up online what key in the registry is responsable for that, then manually go and change it using regedit (WNDWS+R, regedit [OK]). But be careful not to screw around in the registry, for it is your OS's nerve system.

If you can't get rid of it. Windows+R then type msconfig and go to the startup tab abd untick things...
