Hey folks. I'm looking to buy a cheap laptop... I'm going to invest in an alienware in a year or so, but for now I want the lousiest decent laptop I can find. Let me define: Any processor other than Celeron, >=256 Ram, a harddrive that moves.

Any idea where I could get a cheap laptop, preferably new but used maybe? Don't say ebay. I'm looking for something under about $700, as silly as that sounds :)

Try www.ibuypower.com
They have some around that price range I believe, if not, some kicka** ones for slightly more.

ibuypower is good for desktops but is horrible for labtops.
i think you should invest in a powerbook.
but considering you want a alienware, you play games.
i would consider checking out fryz is you have one around you or ebay

personally i wouldnt bother with a cheap laptop, just because a cheap compy generally needs upgrading sooner rather than later, and laptops just suck for upgrading.

it costs more and there s less choice

sorry to be the negative one but thats my experience
