Most of the time when im using AE, when i slide the time line control, or effects control, it displays a message that says "Cannot initialize Open GL", what can i do to fix this?

you must have open gl on in your main stage.. i think the options are opengl, direct 3d and software... brb let me check.

go to edit / preferences / previews

you will see there under fast previews that there is a enable open gl tick box, if your video card is not supported by ae or dosent have opengl (.open gl i thought was on all video cards now.. but anyway) untick enable OpenGl and click ok to save those preferences, see if that helps.

Well that explains it. Onboard video doesnt do Open GL worth anything... if at all.
