I found this creepy site: Johnny Hollow (http://www.johnnyhollow.com/).

After entering the site you will see some butterflies/moths :alien2: can anyone tell me how they made this? It is a flash site, but how on earth did they make these realistic insects? Aftereffects? Filmed it? 3D-animated? Flash drawings??

My guess is those are some royalty free insect clips, having been extracted using a program like After Effects. Or it could be a frame by frame sequence done in PS. Either way it would not be hard to do. I think the lady bug is 3d.
