Turning my mac into a TV?

Alright so I know this is a silly idea but i think it could be kinda interesting. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to use a mac as a tv. Like hook up a playstation or something. Ever heard of this? Get back to me :)

You can do it easily enough with a PC, and I'm sure you can find a TV tuner card (or usb) thing for MAcs somewhere...

hmmm well i did find this http://www.us.playstation.com/peripherals.aspx?id=SCPH-10060U and I do have a s-video out of my computer.....all i need to know is what happens when i turn on the playstation? Will my computer understand...probably not. So i guess i need some software of some kind.....

alright sorry maybe I phrased this wrong. All I want to do is use my compuet a a tv monitor, to play a playstation on it.

oh, ok. all you need is a capture card :) (well, probably not a 'card' if youre using a mac - it'd prolly have to be an external breakout box)
just make sure its got the correct inputs (eg. rca, s-video, etc)
then its just a matter of using some live video/tv viewer program (usually comes with the card) to view the input live and full-screen. if you want to capture the input, just use something like iMovie.

If you want something as simple as plugging your playstation into your monitor, find an RCA to VGA or S-Video to VGA adapter box. They're around - liksang has a couple I believe.

It's called eyeTV, a little box you buy that connects to your Mac using FireWire, and you can watch TV on it. Comes with a remote and everything.

Television can play in its own window, side by side with other applications, at full screen or even in the Dock.
