Looks like 64 on a computer emulator, or on Gamecube (they released Z64 and Majoras Mask on a GC pre-order disc that came with Zelda: Wind Waker.)

Those are pretty lame tricks... I remember doing stuff back in the day with the 'L to levitate' Gameshark code that looked cooler. I wouldn't call it hacking.

Majora's Mask came with the promotional disk on the right...

I'd call it hacking, becuase in the emulator you download cheats to hack the game.
But nonetheless, they were hilarious you have to admit. Just wanted to post for fun

You really shouldn't be discussing those types of things here, but I still wouldn't call it hacking. You'd be more of a script kiddie (kittie?), or whatever the term is these days for people who download 'hacks'. Since you're not the one doing the hacking, it wouldn't really call it that. You just run a program.

You could also use the gameshark for the N64... or one of the other various cheating devices on that system. After I beat the game through a number of times, I used cheats to fly, etc. like he did.
For the record, I don't find your picture hilarious... it would be like flying through the wall as an observer in CS:S and taking a screen shot of the glitchy looking level.

It looks like Majora's Mask being run on Project 64, which has built-in cheats accessible from a menu with little checkboxes.
Nice try. :P
edit: besides, L for Levitate works far better in games like SuperMario64 anyways.

They had an L to levitate for SM64? I know there was a super jump, super SUPER jump, rocket jump, super long jump, and about 100,000 other codes (Seriously, techno world, leaf mario, you name it) but I never ran into an L to levitate...

Jeeze,
whats up your butt. Well I guess for some people who don't use all these cheats, like you, might think it's strange to see link in the middle of the air.
But hey, it's cool. And it doesn't matter what it is, or what i calll it, hack is fine, a program hacks the game, or "alternates" it. There ya go.
And i still think its funny lmfao

Sorry if I came across as harsh, I'm just annoyed that you're openly posting about emulators. Also, the game came out quite a while ago, so most people aren't too interested by cheat-induced things. (Though apparently you were, so maybe I'm wrong there)
You could try getting some more interesting shots, like inside the window in the castle courtyard in OoT.

Why shouldn't you openly post about emulators? They aren't illegal, and seeing as Nintendo doesn't make the n64 anymore, they aren't even losing any money off of it (even in the cases of people who don't own the game and just download the roms).

They're still copyrighted, so it's still illegal.

You can post about emulators, but any mention of getting/downloading/using ROMs though, will cause the thread to be deleted :)

Oh Well I was just creating a funny thread. A side note, I hate cheats, their a waist of time, I just wanted to show what you can do, lol.

I don't see how they're a waste of time... if I've beaten Star Fox 64 on expert mode without using cheats, and gotten a medal on every level, wouldn't cheats add more replay value?

well I duno, it kind of ruins the point of the game. Especially in RPG's or shooters.
I mean simple cheats like SIMS or other crap, i dun care, but I think it takes away any challenge, and will get boring quickly.

true, it is almost instantly boring if you beat a game on max and then do everything there is to do....
well, usually b4 that but hey...

Cheats in GTA are infinitely funny. That's all I have to say on the matter of cheats.
Krilnon: yes, they indeed had L for Levitate in SM64, but if you were doing anything with the camera at the time (especially swimming) it would cause it to glitch out, so it was left out of most cheat systems.
