I'm running Windows XP and would like a calendar/planner program that runs on the desktop or the system tray. Do you know of a good one that is preferrably free or cheap?

I dont know any as I dont use any other calenda progs other than the one built into the clock on the windows taskbar. Its such a basic calender but it works a treat if your only searching for a date or working out things on up-comming days. Although if your looking for something to be able to put dates and notes in then I cant help.

You could always share your life and use the Kirupa Calender :D

download the palm pilot desktop software. It works awesome. Its free and you dont need a palm to use it.

I stopped sync-ing it with my palm pilot 2 years ago and still use it daily :pleased:

If you have MS Office, you can use Outlook. It has a lot of calendar features.

Could take a look at Sunbird. It's a Mozilla project, still in Beta, but seems to be pretty strong. It's worth a look anyway. Make sure you get Sunbird since it's the stand-alone, the other Calendar project is meant to integrate with Firefox or Thunderbird.

The mozilla foundation also is working on one called Sunbird (I think?), but it's still in beta, as far as I recall. Might want to check it out though.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The xemico one was the type I had in mind but I really like the Sunbird one! It has a nice clean look to it. :pleased:
