Sometimes our posts are deleted

I mean my post could be good natured from my end but it might hurt someone elses feelings.... I am ok with that.....

But since it is a learning curve for all of us.... maybe the post owner should be able to see the reason for the deletion of his post ?

Or did I miss a page in the forum ?

No the thing is - sometimes threads (illnatured, malevolent, and immature type of threads) are moved to a certain forum that is only accessible to the admin and mods.

We rarely delete threads (unless they're cross-posts).

If you are citing a specific situation or post, feel free to post a message about it. (or PM kirupa or any of the mods)

well as far as i can remember my posts have been deleted/hidden i think once or twice... i dont know which ones ..... and a thread from random... i think it contained relegious content so anyways no issues bout that ot the earlier posts.... i am sure you guys had a valid reason..... but atleast i should have gotten a notice or something.... i mean its strange that you posted something and its gone the next day.... like you are wondering is there a bug or something ?

There are a number of threads which discuss what is and is not allowed here in the forum. Currently, Political and Religious material is forbidden from discussion. In addition, posting inquiries, information, or discriptions of any methodology, terminology, or tool programs, related to hacking, cracking or any bypass of a companies legal right to charge for the usage of their software, has always been forbidden here.

(go ahead mods.. if I missed any no no's add em on. :) )

hehe - I'm sure it's only temporary. I think mods such as upuaut go through phases where they inflate their post count for a few hours haha. Eilsoe caught that bug last week, and he probably got it from sen a few weeks earlier. Who knows who upuaut will transfer this temporary allergy to :beam:

It's only hacking when you dont have permissions to perform the action mate. :)

Kman is right.. I was just screwing around with my numbers.

what is the most that the post count can go to? After a around 2 million posts does it label you as a spammer under your name or stops counting posts. lol

I think it automatically bans you and sends a mail saying you need a life...

Currently, Political and Religious material is forbidden from discussion.

This is all Ordered was to you? Politics (something which can always be discussed in a civilized manner, but where NO ONE would ever change their point of view). Religion (something which can always be discussed in a civilized manner, but where NO ONE would ever change their point of view).
Now I DO understand why Ordered was closed....

I'm not sure how to take that Pom. Ordered was my baby, I loved all of the discussion there except perhaps those entered into by our phriend. From it's inception, my conception of it was one thing and one thing only... a place where by logical proofs needed to be provided for any statements that were made. Unfortunately for me, no one else had this conception of it.

In the end, it's not here now because it didn't belong here in the first place.. not because my conception of it was skewed.

Anyway Pom. I really have no clue what you mean by that statement. It sounds a bit harsher than I deserve.. though I suppose I deserve a lot more harshness than I get over the ordered forum anyway so I'll deal.

Peace Pie my French C'niggit.
