When you pump yourself high up and fall down you will "dig" down in the ground and slowly "crawl" up again... Why?

Probably due to your hitTesting code. Can you paste the code here so we could have a look?

might want to use another method other than hitTesting if possible for this. Increasing your frame rate might also solve the problem.
