Hi there,

I'd like get some suggestions from people about their hosting plans.

I currently use doteasy.com (it's free and no pop-windows), however it seems a little slow and at times difficult to upload to. Can someone recommend a hosting company with a good monthly package?

Thanks

I'm slightly biased towards 2advanced.net (disclaimer - I'm employed by 2anet) - however, I would recommend researching before making a decision. The difference between webhosts is very significant, and if you'll be depending on this site for your day-to-day life (business), you don't want to make the wrong decision.

I post again since your new, Bonjour!

Coming down to hosting plans can be difficult. What can make it easier if you could detail some information on how much will you be willing to pay each month, bandwidth and space, server-side enabled, email, Linux based or Windows. Until then, I can give you a list for now. Please check each out each of them.

1) MediaTemple - www.mediatemple.net
2) Eleven2 - www.eleven2.com
3) Netkeepers - www.netkeepers.ca
4) Flashlevel - www.flashlevel.net
5) Unflux - www.unflux.net
6) Mediumcube - www.mediumcube.com
7) 1&1 - www.1and1.com
8] 2advanced - www.2advanced.net
9) Eyewake - www.eyewake.net (completing)
10) TNTPowerhost - www.tntpowerhost.com
9) Mesopia - www.mesopia.com (DR2 Webhosting)

If I may, I would add to your list:

Name-based v. IP-based virtual hosting (2advanced.net provides all clients with their own IP address)
Support options (methods, hours) (2advanced.net offers 24x7 phone and email support for all clients)
The company's hosting situation (are they reselling from EV1? do they have access to the hardware in case of problems?) (2advanced.net hosts clients in their on site datacenter, with 24x7 manned monitoring, and round-the-clock access to fix hardware issues)
How long they've been in the business, and is the company strong enough to last as long as your website (A moderately sized host went disappeared last week, and there's a lot of clients scratching their head - you don't want this to happen to you, it's not much fun).

For the record, at least three hosts listed above had some reachability issues in the past year (where the site or the client was unavailable long enough that people started asking questions) - if that matters to you, you should find out which three and for how long.
