Hello, I was wondering if you guys could give me some input on my layout for my portfolio site. It's my first site to contain any flash in it so... go a head and critique away :D

Thanks!

Well, it's very monochrome. I was also a bit distracted by the circles whizzing by in the header. The "Justin" text in the header is also very flowy compared to the rest of the site, which is primarily square and geometric shapes. It's not a bad start, but with out more content it's hard to say. Hope that's a little helpful.

Try turning the frame rate up a bit in your Flash. Try 31fps. It'll make the code a little smoother.
I agree with Strat's comments, your type doesn't match the techno-geometric thing at all. The flowy style is a little more trendy today, so I can see why you'd want something of that nature...but before you did if I were you I'd decide if I wanted to go that sort the minimalist way or the decroative way. Pick a direction and go with it 100%.

your menu text needs to be clearer and the flying circles are extraordinarily distracting.

Not to crush your dreams, but is there really any point to having the entire site in flash?
Before you start making your site into flash, post a screenshot in here. It will give us a better idea of how the layout will look with content and you'll get feedback before you make it flash.
Personally, I think the layout needs ALOT of work.

I definitely agree with dreeft. The best way to start a website is finishing the layout in Photoshop first and start incorporating flash elements on to it. If you start automatically it will take you much longer to finish up.
