A few random character scrawls I did with the mouse that turned out quite nicely with a bit of editing. Both were done from scratch using the paintbrush tool in Flash MX 2004. Excuse a) the rough-as-guts shading jobs :P and b) file size. If you're on 36.6 like myself, 100k will seem like forever :)
Please offer comments and criticism.

This is the first character I drew. It took about twenty minutes to sketch out, and another hour or so for shading.
I initially gave him a beard as a distinguishing feature, but it looked ****e, so I replaced it with a simple purple hood - generic evil wizard hoy!
Needs shading under the hood + over eyes.

Second character. This one took a fair while longer to sketch out, due to the fact that I wanted to acheive an older feminine look (no stupid cute anime kekelah~~^_^; rubbish!), the proportions were more difficult (I have trouble drawing women's faces), and the features were far more subtle than the bald wizard bloke's.
No outstanding features, just a generic, anime inspired elfish woman.
I reckon the proportions are out somewhere there, I can't nail exactly what it is, but I think it can be fixed with some more hair (!), more specifically the bangs running down in front of the ears. The hair coloring and shading is a bodge job so try to keep that in mind.

I only want to say that I like your job A LOT!
I import images in flash and draw over them in a new layer. Then I begin editing...
Yours look original though... GR8 JOB!!! :D
