Hi.
http://bohner.asdf.pl/darek/
Please tell me if you are expirencing any lag during fliping the first 4-7 pages, because I've got a big one when I do that, and I don't know how to fix this :/
Thx.

Also, on the preload, when it reaches 100, it cuts off the last 0

This is just a rough version, not completed yet. First I want to get rid of the lag. Could you tak a look in the source?

I've tryed a couple of things, and only deleting the bg bitmap helped, but that is not an option. Tracing it also doesn't help.

Well I just started flash from a long break so I wouldn't know what to do. Nice rough draft though. Maybe, try changing the FPS to 25 or 30?

This fla is generated by AS (its a opensource fla) so FPS has no effect on it.

I'm a sucker for that page tuning bit. Is there a tutorial somewhere for that?

i runs slow on mine but my comp is 2 years old, you should be building towards lower specs anyway. check to see how large your image files are. i assume your page animations are tweens of a image sequence. see if you can cut the image file size down, maybe even use gifs but the image will look dithered. your scroll on the load page does not look like a scroll, and maybe change the loading font. i like the idea, just keep working at it. center your page as well.

dariat28 everything that you've said is on my to do list, but first as I said, I have to get rid of this lag problem. I've tryed tracing the png, but that didn't work. Tryed to compress it to jpg/30% (Flash compression) - didn't work either. Its not in the file size, I think that it is the Flash's fault, similiar to the lag you get when tweening two or more half transparent (alpha) objects. Anyway this started after I added large amounts of text (whole page). I've tryed to breake the text and group it with the current page bg (png) didn't work either.
Im out of ideas.
Btw. the orginal source of this flash had no bitmaps as bg's for pages, and it worked smoothly. But in my case if I want to do a book theme, flash drawings won't cut it :/
