My new Graphire3 6x8 just arrived yesterday :D
So after some messing around, I made this:

Took a few hours to do using Alias Sketchbook Pro (omg, that program is the best).

thanks for the feedback, guys :thumb:
yes, true dat, sketchbook pro is teh bomb. quite ironic, really - from the makers of the most psycho and complex 3d app around (maya) comes this beautifully simplistic sketching program. i mean, the beauty lies within the sheer simplicity. you have a totally clear screen, with just a few buttons in the corner. choose your tool and then start drawing simply amazingly natually. i haven't touched painter that much since i got my tablet - i find sketchbook to be much more enjoyable to use. plus, it starts up almost instantly, so it's even good for quickly scribbling down notes while on the phone (which i did)... ;) oh, and it's cheap! :P
heheh, wacoms are the best. (though im still getting used to typing with the pen in my hand...)

Nice Work. BTW, speaking of Lips, they make great pen holders while typing :smirk:

LoL, I do this all the time since all I use is a wacom, and it's annoying to pick up and set down all the time. Takes a while to get used to cause you really only have 3 fingers and your thumb to use on your right hand :D... enjoy that wacom though it's one of the best investments you'll ever make as a designer.

actually, another annoying thing is the double-clicking. see, for one reason or another, i prefer to double-tap rather than use the switch - its more natural, and my finger isn't always over the switch. 'cept, because it's almost impossible to tap in exactly the same place twice without moving the cursor, the tablet driver 'freezes' the cursor momentarily so you can double-tap in the same place... in order to double-tap comfortably, i have the double-click distance (in the tablet settings) at the second-highest level. problem is, when im drawing - or doing anything, for that matter - the cursor continually freezes whenever i put the pen down. try it, it's really annoying :(
i guess i could try using the switch...
oh, and the tablet doesn't work AT ALL in zonealarm :h:

thanks in advance

phatbyte: having a wacom AND a mouse is actually what most people do. there's absolutely no trouble whatsoever using them both at the same time - i do it :)
