hey guys, wut do u think of this layout, its a rough draft but a starting point (**male model site / sorry guys**) he likes the color scheme but it feels like something is missing from the whole layout. this site is going to be very simple but will have some nice transitions in flash... what do u guys think, good/bad/start over?
thanks

Might think of having his image extend slightly above the line/move the upper line down a bit. Would give it a slightly more open look. Other than that I liked 3 the best, but without the strange black on the right.

Yeah I like number 3 the best, the menu stands out nicely but still fits well with the overall look.

thanks everyone for the replies so far, does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it better/improve?? i know its kinda hard to say without wut the other pages are looking like but, figured id try.
DDD- u say good colors, do you think that these colors are "guy-ish" b/c another designer on another forum had told me that these colors show more of a feminine look and i should use red/yellow for a sexy guy look. im gonna stay with the color scheme i have now, i was just curious on ur opinion on this, if u dont mind... thankyou :)

colin / coder, if u guys dont mind, can u please tell me why u picked number 2 as opposed to the others. i like to learn wut makes one piece stronger than the other and wut people think of it.... thanks

Sometime the road less traveled is the best route. The colors aren't feminine to me. But I can see how that would be drawn. You have dull greys and blacks to offset it. I think it made a good mix. I like 2 because of the balance.

trace,
you don't have to ask what I think about those colours... (metroxy.com) blues and dark sexy colours can work really well for this site.
My suggestion would be to step it down a little with the text and the things that are making it busy. That opening screen I think would look really good if it was dark on both his sides... not just the left... make the text and the lighter background go away, and find a to have his tag line a little less in your face... let his body and his looks sell them

I liked one the best. The colors are great in my opinion for the theme of the site.
Plus I think that numbers 1's design would allow for more space for content and transitions. I also like how its centered.

fester thanks for the reply, is the navigation why u think number 1 has more space for content. in ur opinion ( and others) i was thinking of having the window always be centered but in certain sections be resized...before i go into the scripting and ripping of the hair, what are your opinions on this? good/bad/ completely sucky idea??

I like the idea, and yes thats what I was talking about.
No I didnt find the picture obscene. I mean I am not into looking at male modeling pages so I dont have much to go on ;)
It fits the style

Didnt read what everyone said....BUT....
#2 looks best to me, but I;d make the guys image larger and have it extend beyond the borders of the rectangle. :thumb:

ok read through everything... your new version looks good :thumb:
Though I'd still suggest playing w/the idea of letting his image run beyond the borders.
