Hello all,

I followed this very interesting tutorial:
Scriptable masks (http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/scriptable_masks.htm)

Now, I want to recreate the same effect (this has been done) but with a little twist, and I do not know how to code the mask with Action Script.

What I want to achieve is this:

1. Lock my mask on the Y axis;
2. When I mouse over it, the mask would move up and down;
3. The mouse cursor would disapear while being in the mask.

My flash file is almost complete. I just need the code to move the mask.

You can download it here (http://www.baudesign.ca/temp/sig.fla)

Thanks a lot for any help!

Hummm, almost a day a still no response!? Is this difficult?

Ho well, I tried different things, and this is what I came up to so far:

Please download Sig_2.fla (http://www.baudesign.ca/temp/sig_2.fla)

I am almost there. But I want to lock my mask on the Y axis... again. How do I do that?

And again, I want the cursor of the mouse to disapear. It is possible?

Thanks

:tie:

This is what it looks like so far:

YES!

Thanks Lunar_4U, we are almost there pal!

Here is the result:

Now if I could get rid of this mouse cursor...

Thanks again. I like the result, being from up north, with snow all around me, this little poetry is quite à-propos!
