Ahoi!
Every student was asked to design some piece of artwork to express yourself graphically to the world. It's purpose is to be published in a little booklet that's being made for this year's college-graduation. Now I'm not studying for graphic designer though, but for multimedia-publisher. So it didn't have to be that spectacular the teacher said, but I tried my best.
I made this:

Some C&C please? I currently have some doubts about the font I used for my name ...

It looks good, although that band of white and the text don’t fit at all. It doesn’t do the work justice. Try playing around with your blending options on the white, currently it looks very armature.
Cheers!

I like it.
However, I would suggest cutting the white bar off where it meets the black one, loosing the :'s and playing with the type (perhaps align it to the other side). The focus of the layout appears to be the characters at the bottom, where it should actually be the words.

ditto, like the actual work, dont like the white bar, make it not so obvious, maybe smaller...

Thanks for the comments. As soon as I get home I'll work on that text. I admit I was getting lazy at that point.

i love it! But like other people have said...the text on the white banner spoils it, you need a good typeface :D that will fit nicely
I reckon Arial, set as bold and the kerning as -100 in photoshop, with a dark blue colour would look sweet, try it

Yes, that looks ok...but i think you need to align the text a bit more, align it all either to the right or left.
Also i noticed them circles on the top right, go over the text, make it go behind

So this is my final design, it's pretty different from the last two, but better too imo ... See for yourself:

That's really cool but that font! Looks like the font was added in MSpaint.

That's because it was 300 dpi for print but I made a 100 dpi version to put online. On the actual pdf the letters are normal.
