Hi,

I need individuals for a web design studio. Expertise in individual fields appreciated. Age no bar, race no bar. I am not looking for high end designers but dedicated and aspiring people who want to standout. Experience not necessary if you are talented. I am a designer myself and can help you out. I need people good in Logos and flash to start off. Pay will be according to projects bagged. Its a dream of standing out in the crowd. If you think you are ready for it send a e-mail(r_ferns82@yahoo.co.in) or reply to the post with some examples of your work. Commited freelancers looking for partners are welcome too.

This is yet a concept and suggestions are welcomed.

A note: I am not outsourcing projects out here. So dont contact me assuming i am providing work. Also I am not looking for work from u'll. Its a studio concept for which I need individuals who r interested in doing some work worth being proud off as well as make some money and earn fame. As I said before it is still a concept and only people serious about it can discuss the plans. There is no immediate money out here so be sure. Its like starting ur own business.

kidrock... how about you post your portfolio?

I can't believe how many ppl are willing to jump into this w/o even seeing the caliber of work kidrock can do.

Look at their post counts...probably kids in the game (well most of them not all) that got photoshop elements with their dell computers their mom's bought...If I were kid rock I would be skeptical at anyone who jumped at this offer.

simplistik and DDD,

Before passing comments pls read the posts carefully. I have never insulted newbie’s neither am I asking anyone to work for free. I have received quite a few replies if u note not all r replied to. I know guys well especially ddd. Its not a regular post for ur comments if u know I am a cheat then speak up or else shut ur traps up. Sorry for being rude but this is my post and ur insulting people out here for nothing. If u r not interested u have no right to ask me to show u my work. Next time think 2wice before opening ur mouths without thinking just for the heck of commenting. And send me a note if u got some problem with this or else apologies to all those artist.

Well first off I'm apoligizing to no one and the PM you sent me was uncalled for, disrespectful, and misguided. All I said is you should show your work so anyone interested could see what they are gettin their selves into. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
My point was simple and valid... it's like buying a car b4 you test drive it... you just don't do it.

Also no one was questioning your integrity... again... you've taken simple statements and misconstrued them. So if anyone should be apoligizing it should be you... to me for your accusations as well as your disrespectful PM.

Dude, u r not hired as a advocate by anyone out here r u. If u r not interested why do u need to see my work? Only people seriously interested in joining have the right to. U may be workin for reebok it’s not my concern. But u have no right to mess about my post just cause u feel like commenting.

It's not for me to see it's for other ppl to see... so you can make a first impression. I've seen what you can do, I've critiqued some of your work. I think you're missing the whole point of what was primarly said.

"boy" lol... I'm only a yr older than you ;). Alright dude... my comments have fallen on deaf ears (blind eyes in this case). I'm sure you're venture will go well. And your 2 hrs of work is pretty decent... it'd be nice to see the more developed stuff then.

Well my comments are based on my role as a Mod here. You have to realize we have some young and naive folks here. Not to mention the in-experienced. I have had complaints in the past about being ripped off here. By both job seekers and employers. So my comments were not pointed towards anyone. Just a lil advice for both you and the seeker. So I too am not apologizing, just merely informing. You as a job seeker should set the standard by showing your work. If you have 2a level abilities and you show that then the quality of applicant will also increase. So you do yourself no justice by just saying "I need help". Simp and I were just offering our advice. Take it with a grain of salt.

ok ddd thats a better way of speaking. But u got a ego issue mate.

"Look at their post counts...probably kids in the game (well most of them not all) that got photoshop elements with their dell computers their mom's bought...If I were kid rock I would be skeptical at anyone who jumped at this offer."

Thats not a way to speak to anyone not at all as a mod. Hope u agree. as a mod u r suppose to be strict but humble an kind too. If u get my point.

Oh I got your point "boy". Basically you're saying that I have no right to see your "portfolio" because I'm not applying for your "job". But here is the thing... if it was good... you wouldn't have a problem w/ it. If you had one you wouldn't have a problem w/ it. As a design community most ppl already have established what they are capable of. Now what the crap type of point is that supposed to be... are you to scared, that if ppl knew what you wouldn't get replies. I've been in this industry for 6 yrs... there isn't even a way anyone would apply for that "job" in real life, unless they knew what you were capable of. This being a forum and the web everyone and their brother is "trying" to be a designer, which doesn't it make it a competitive market anymore it just devalues it... which is what I think you're tryin to do.

kidrock I dont sugar coat the truth. Most will tell you from a board perspective I am a straight shooter and call 'em as I see 'em. Obviously you are the only one that has a problem with my statement. No one else does or does not care. In any event, there was good advice int hat statement for you and for the seeker. So like everything else in life. You either like it or leave it alone. But I am not going to apologize for it. And you know what, I do think I have sort of an ego.

Look i know its not my argument and i am only a so called n00b on these forums, i applied for the job because i have never had the chance to create a portfolio or to even try and do some custom work, its up to the people who are interested if they would like to see his portfolio or not.

By the way just because some of us are young dont mean we are just stupid kids who think we can design stuff, i am not the best but i bet there are soem kids out there who could do some much better work than you. (no dis-respect to your work)

notice my use of the word "some". Also you need to realize that this is a board run by managers. I have gotten complaints in the past about these types of posts. So take my criticism as constructive. And kind of a preventative measure. I was just informing.

Also crystal.

You do not need to stick your neck out for a person/company that you may run the risk of getting ripped odd (not aimed at kid rock). If you want to up your portfolio, make up fictional company's, do tutorials and take it to the next level and you can always go to places like rentacoder.com and try there. There are many ways to boost your portfolio. But you have to understand the concern as far as the board goes. Also it makes this area more viable. As it stands our most talented folk dont venture in here for this recise reason. Vague descriptions. It protects all involved when all the cards are on the table. Just like others have posted their portfolios in open forum. Whats wrong with the thread starter doing the same? Or at least saying I dont have a portfolio. All in all it is up to you the individual to apply. But as far as the running of the board it is up to other members such as Simplistik, the mods and Big K.

Thanks for the advice, i will stick with kidrock and see how i get on, if he is sad enough to rip me off than thats his sad problem, i will trust that he wont though, i have made up quite a few fictional companies but i havent really made anythign that good.
