Well I've decided that it's about time that I get a pair of quality headphones...now I'm just not sure where the best places are to look though :P! I've visited sites like senheisser and stuff but I hear they're a little overpriced for what your getting...I'm looking to buy a pair mostly for computer use really...so does anyone have any suggestions or know of a particularly good make =).

Thanks,

I have a pair of mid-range sony one's that are really really nice, don't know the name or anything, but I've never had any complaints with sony audio equipment of the sort, so I'd say pick your price range and style and just pick one of theirs up, nice things they are.

www.tigerdirect.com
www.tigerdirect.ca

That's where I get all my computer related doo-hickeys. I vividly remember them having at least some headphones, prices varying...

Being a canadian I use the .ca, but I'm sure the .com is identical.

I recently got some nice noise canceling headphones from sharper image. They are nice. If you really want the best, check out Bose - their top of the line headphones are expensive though.

Edit: Here's a link to the ones I got

Another nice feature is that they fold up pretty small for traveling and also came with plane adaptor.

You guys are way too high priced. Get the plantronics .Audio 90, great headphones for $30 :D been using em for 2 years and still satisfied. (why wud u want noise cancelling anyway, then you cant hear yo' mom calling :P)

Hmm what do you guys think of these...I've heard rumours of wireless being not as good quality, get static and so on possibly...and do you suppose those would transmit through walls...and I could use those with my computer of course right? They don't really mention it in the description so I dunno...I'm hoping I can use them for that :P!

EDIT: by the way is 900 mhz good or at least reasonable? It sounds like there's a lot of battery replacing and such with this type of headphone, is this the case?

i have SONY wireless headphones and they suck ***... big, bulky, and crappy reception even more than 10 feet away from the base... a complete waste of $100.. though the technology might have improved some in the last year...

from a store? but seriously, buy those cheap Koss one's, they sound as good and last as long for a quarter of the price of a Sony. Actually they sound better than a Sony.

I had a pair of koss ones for ages, they were good but not great. Then they died.

I occasionally borrow my girlfriend pair of fancy Sony ones.. they're sweet as.

hmm sounds good mike....where can I find these just on the sony website or something? I'm having a hard time finding a specific headphone section on there ...

EDIT: ah wait I found these...what do you guys think?

This in particular actually...the previous url was just a general listing....

Do you guys know if those would work with my comp? Sony definitely sounds like the way to go though :).

who makes those? sony ? And what do you guys think of the sony pair of wireless headphones I linked to in my last post...do you suppose those are computer compatible? A lot of them seem to be only advertised for tv/stereo...where can I find some wireless one's like that for computer :sigh:....

This is what your talking about I assume? There isn't even a price listed :P? I looked under the headphones tab section obviously...I'm not to sure I see what makes them that much better then say sony or etc though :)?

So far the one's at the sharp site and the sony one looks the best...In particular these:

http://edu.us.sony.biz/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/BB_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=MDRRF920RK&Dept=smb-acc_Headphones&CategoryName=smb-acc_Headphones_Wireless&RequestChannel=Education

but can anyone tell me if they are compatible with my computer...it doesn't specify but maybe someone knows if you can set them up with a computer...because I really don't need a pair for a stereo or tv that's for sure :sigh:

Thanks,

Make sure you don't get ones with the 802.11 frequency... my friend had a phone on that frequency... and it killed his wireless internet connection whenever someone called.

EDIT: 2.4 Ghz is 802.11's.
