I don't see how you could improve it to be honest with you.

One thing, I don't like the header/banner... I'm not sure why, I just don't think it fits. :huh:

Yeh it's a vbulliten forum.. so.. I mean you didn't actually design it, except for maybe changing the colours. So to improve it.. uh.. use different colours? But I dont think it would matter. The header is pretty horrible. Too messy and the text is very cheap.

When I think teens , I think light blue , and pink ( pastel colours etc) , Vbulletin is quite customisable, maybe change the icons to osmething a bit funkier, header definately must go, maybe a better montage of images not so faded out, and better typeface chosen). Otherwise looks like any other forum to me? Not very exciting to hang out in

personally I started to dislike forums other then kirupa!!! but since you put some effort in it I'll give u my comment! Blue links are really hard to see on black so you wanna look into your css file. also I find blue to be very hard on eyes too cause user is there to read so I would suggest lighter bright colors will bring your forum back to life!!! you wanna get people that wants to come back and read it again! :book:

design wise...
- the header's too big and is pretty photoshoppy. i'd work on cleaning it up and making the topmargin=0.
- the colors don't really give good contrast, so things are tough to read. navy blue combined with grey and black doesn't really give off a positive sort of feel in addition to being low contrast. don't be afraid to use white for the background, it might really clean things up.
- the font you have for "Old Thread" is too young looking. teens would be turned off by how young it looks.

as far as functionality goes...
- there are just too many categories and threads. for instance, the threads within your talk category could all be combined into a Random category/thread.
- you're allowing people's signatures to be huge which could cause a lot of scrolling and slow loading.
