Of all the people I have currently participating, a few of them complain that they cannot change the label colors.
Now I am asking you guys...would it be more interesting for everybody, if I changed the project parameters, and posted the EPS or Illustrator file of the label online, and let every body do whatever they want with the label?
Or should I leave things as they are?
Any suggestions are welcome.

I think if you want to create 'unity' you should have the parameters be the same....
let the artist do something interesting with the presentation of it...

agreed
Though because of the size of the thing, it can be intrusive especially in that color scheme and if clashing with your own.
I think a small set of alternative schemes (though not to be too diverse) might be a possible solution.
...and on that I have my own complaints :) free electricity? THATs not gonna happen anytime soon. Plus I really dont understand its relavence. Free speech? sure, thats a given. 02, 03 ... seem pointless and one often spends time looking for the 01. That with the arrows just leads to the 'designy typicality' which is understandable I guess under the circumstances. D? What the hecks the D? Well just looking at the logo youd never think it'd be for design, especially since its so elecric-centric (heh thats fun to say). And the D is very college-type making it look like what youd see on some 16 yr olds tight tee shirt. "Is this a gap ad?" Sure I guess theres the symolism in there, but for a common surfer it would leave them pretty clueless. I guess thats where the personal text comes into play ;)

It can be scaled to any size, so that should not be an issue.
