I once got salmonella from eating at a Harvester restaurant in Maidstone. I was fine the rest of that day, then the next morning it hit me. I spent most of the next week with my head down a toilet throwing up.
Couldn't eat anything, couldn't even look at food without feeling sick again. Although I was better after one week off University, I couldn't go back to my classes, since I was so lethargic and all from not having eaten for a week...

I've poisoned myself two maybe three times. All three times it was a tomato gravy (with beef in it) which was just a tad over due.. not enough that I ever noticed a problem with the taste.
It is by far the worst feeling I've ever had, and I've cut off the tip of my finger.. so I know pain. :). I remember dry heaving for quite some time, running a feaver, and cold sweats to boot. And Pepto does NOTHING to help except to give your stomach something to throw up.
ugg.
Sorry to hear that Vts. Glad you didn't die. :)
