Hey guys. Just wondering what's the normal size (in inches) for a business card. I want to start to design my own.

just something different, the cards i designed recently were double sided, so i had the logo centered on the front which when i decreased the size of the card it gave it a more neat box(perfect square) look,
also i like the look of slim line business cards, like 90 X 35, again just something different and if the client permits it(have the cash to spend) i look into die-cuts and other styles like embossing, metalic inks, foil or using different textured cards.

Always create your business cards at 85mm x 55mm. The simple reason being that they fit perfectly into almost everybodys wallets. 90mm x 55mm is to big as they dont fit in, so the chances are they will be thrown away, and you don't want that.
I still have a couple of business cards in my wallet I was handed over a year ago. If they didnt fit they wouldnt be in there.

The most commen business card size is credit-card size. :)
I believe it's about 85mm x 50mm... like Soulty said.

yeah thats actually another reason why i made them smaller, cause the 90mm dont fit in my wallet, lol, the 85 is a sweet fit.

1 inch = 2,5 cm
1 cm = 10mm
YOU do the math :P

meh... the printers here finally switched to 86x54mm, after realising 89x54mm didn't fit in anyone's wallet :P
oh, and they're doing rounded corners, too :D nice.
