I need help!!!

I have an image of a car and i want to import it into flash.

I want to import only the car and not the white background around it.

I have used photoshop background eraser feature which deletes
the white background and displays the transparent background but when i import it into flash, the image has still got the white background.

What am i doing wrong???

I am going crazy.....aahhhhhhhhhhh

Out of Photoshop do a "Save For Web" (under file) and choose PNG as your format (not jpg). That preserves the transparency when you bring it into flash. TAKE NOTE however that the file size may increase significantly.

Firstly thank you for replying "Lunatic".

I have tried what you said and still no joy :-(

I filled the background in black and then used the background eraser.

When i imported it as PNG-24, a rectangle appeared around the car with the black fill!!!!

Is there anything else i can try pls?

in your psd file you save, there should be no opaque layers below it, in other words the only thing that should be visible are the object you want to import to flash, all other areas of the file should have a transparency grid visible, also make sure you select transparency when you go to the save for web export window.
