First Pics of the Lunar Eclipse

Hey guys - I was out freezing my butt off taking some pics of the eclipse tonight and decided to share with you. Lucky me, a huge sheet of clouds came up close to the full eclipse, so I didn't get any of them, but my boyfriend in Texas took some great ones and will be posting after mine at some point, so check back in a few hours if you want to see more pics. :-)

When i saw it through the clouds it was really red. Then i watched the game lol.

fuji s7000. if i had a better tripod setup I could have gotten better focus, but i was using one of those 'mini' 7" tripods on my back porch cuz i can't find my full sized one since i moved, and i had to set it up at a weird angle to get the moon :( so it was kind of wiggly. hehe.

Nice - we just saw it when taking the doggies for a walk. Didn't even think about grabbing my camera :trout:. Wasn't red but still pretty cool. :thumb:

Nice pictures Gina. I watched some of it through my bedroom window (i had a clear view of the moon right from it), but it was very cloudy and I basically only saw what you saw.

I too didn't know this was supposed to occur. How strange that such a thing would occur right before Halloween and it gets capped off with a bloodmoon. This won't happen again until was... 2007 or something like that? I wonder if then it will be near Halloween again.

I was up at 5.10 to see the last phase of the total eclipse. Of course the clouds decided to give me a hard time.. couldn't see squat :(

Btw that was when I was walking to the bus :sure: Yeah I'm up kinda early :)

huh? are you implying that they were photoshopped? because i assure you those are pure unadultered shots straight from the digicam. minus the fact of course that there wasn't 20 or so moons in the sky - haha, that much is edited ;-)
but seriously - the moon was just that cool lookin tonight!

Hmmm, an eclipse during the final game of the world series? Maybe that had something to do with Boston winning. Whatever works!

I watched the whole thing. I never miss an eclipse. There is just something cool about it. It's different, a change.

Sick, the moon was reallllly big and bright in the early morning though, beautiful.
