This site is for a local band.... pretty basic.

i think the background effect is very cool but i think it would be better if the effect only happened after you selected a button on the nav, makes things a little confusing when you have the effect on rollover and the text becomes hard to read, if you then think the site is too static you could have that effect happen every 10 seconds or a random time for the right side only, so the text is not affected.

Images are great, really like the spash page image, some mood music would really work here. or some sound effect when you have that background animation happen "after" you click the nav buttons.

other than that, its a pretty cool site :)

oh yeah forgot to mention, you might want to make the enter site button a little more noticable (rollover maybe?) maybe you could have the image a link to the enter the site as well,

Took me ages to find the 'enter site' button, you could make it a bit more obvious. It being a website for a band, I was a bit disappointed when there was no sound. Some background music (with the option of turning it off and changing tracks etc.) from the band would be a nice addition. I liked the photos and the general design of the site though, I think it works well.

I changed the splash page so you could also click on the logo to enter.

they are just finishing up a cd, so when all tracks are complete, then I'll have some music to work with.

thanks for the input! anything else?

first of all nice graphics. I would say for the loader use a font closer to the Lars Media one rather than a serif font. The background effect is far too intense for me, it's a good effect but I would try and use it for transitions between sections rather than something that happens when you roll over a link, good in moderation.

Same on the sections with the font, difficult to read at the moment.

On the right I might have a specific link straight to the music and try and host one or two tracks on my own site.

All in all its certainly got good potential, like I say the artwork is fine, main thing for me is the fonts and the freakout background - there's some good tutorials about fonts in Flash on this site if you need them and have a look around.

I don't like the copyright text at the bottom, and your logo is too big. Draws the eye a little much.

Other than that it's really nice.
