Yeah - that was strange. I sent an e-mail to MT wondering what happened, but yeah, the site was down for a while. I think the gerbils may have unionized, so expect more ads for gerbil food and slower performance. j/k :P

But seriously, the servers have been having large spikes in traffic recently, so the servers being restarted every few days is common. This downtime was just a little bit longer than the 5-10 mins!

it was more then 5-10 mins kman, i think about an hour for sure, i tried that in evening and did'nt work, thought it was my connection abut then i askd my friend on msn and he mentioned some error and that was in the evening..now its 1 am, i am on here for last 15 mins...still feels its slow :-/

Are you still having slowdowns though? You may want to see if emptying your cache helps.

For such a huge community, I'm surpirsed the forums and site goes down as rarely as it does and for such a short amount of time.

It does suck when they go down though.

Yes kirupa, i feel its a bit slow..although i am on maybe the slowest connection out of all the members here :P still not the usual speed i get..
yes i cleared history, temp internet files, cache but its still not normal...

all MT sites just went down for a few minutes again... I couldnt access kirupa... so I checke dclient sites I have with MT and they were all down too. It was only a few minutes, but they seem to be having some issues lately. Im not a happy camper! Im just waiting for a client email about this.... :(
