Hey everyone, Im doing some work for a metals company (AMA Metals)...
anyway I wanted to make something that loked like there name stamped into a brushed alminum plate. Using all photoshop and no images I came up with this...

I think it turned out nice, what do you think?

Well the metal looks okay I guess but the background looks like h3ll. Take it easy on the sun spots and you'll be fine.

STOP HAVING FUN IMMEDIATELY AND NEVER HAVE FUN LIKE THAT AGAIN!

At second glance I noticed that the overlay gradient you have extends over the area (bevel) at the bottom where there should be a shadow.

good call... I want the shine to extend into the shaded area, but I forgot to decrease its level... here is another version, a little better:

Add some rust to it. ;)

It looks good. I would suggest increasing the indentation of the letters to increase the "stamped" look.

I would also suggest, depending on what the logo is going to be used for, to either remove the lensflare or put it inside the box, if it extends out into space, it may make it painful to re-use in later graphics.

I'd also add a slight amount of texture to the box, perhaps a faint pattern overlay.
