I recommend changing the background color (black) to something that better fits the site. Also, make the bar in your scroll bar a little more visible, or maybe just place a stroke on it... it's kind of hard to see.

I like it a lot! That bar across the screen for the splash page has been done alot tho. I would change that. Other than that, it's great!

oh and one thing is that it's not the Flash MX pugin.... it's the Flash Player ;)

No offense, but I feel like I've seen your site 100 times before. The use of the arrows, the splash screen style, the menu items, sub content boxes. They are all things that have been used and done many times before. Overall it looks like you did some great work.

Eh... average site... most of the elements have been used a lot... it was a huge trendwhore fad a while ago. It's not bad... but just common.

I like it, it may be quite the trendwhore site but I'm sure we've all done one at one point or another. That and I like trendwhore :) Your color choice was really nice and I think I agree with everyone that the background needs a little something besides being black. Even a gray with a pattern or something could work.

Other suggestions:
Up the FPS a bit, it seems a bit choppy and slow at points.

There may be a little too much flashing going on with the arrows. Perhaps try to preserve the flashing for a mouseover. The header mouseovers maybe could use a little something.

You could use a little more contrast in the contact and portfolio sections for your fonts. They are just a bit hard to read. The contact form seems a little off. Try moving your boxes to exact pixels to get rid of some of that blurriness. The font on the send button looks out of place.

The scrollbar in latest news is almost impossible to see.

Other than that I don't see much wrong, it looks good. Keep up the good work!

love the logo, kind of agree with the whole "fad" thing, I think it would help if the transitions were not seen so much on other sites... such as the boxes on the bottom opening up and the way the main photo is masked... other than that looks pretty darn good... what happened to www.phantomswords.com? Looks like a cool site...
