Circular Scroll

I am trying to do a circular scroll. Please view attached gif for a mockup. I am not sure how to go about it, can someone point me in the right direction.

You need to use some trig. Since I so adore visual aids, I'll create a Flash example.

I searched the forum but didn't find anything really good.

the 3d tutorial I made also covers a little trig

yeah i read it, i didn't fully grasp alot of it though...

I tried adding an image in the background that would spin with the scroller. See the attached Gif. But I could not get it to work.Help again? Or is there a tutorial out there where I can learn more?

you can rotate behind by using the angle variable
