help with thumbnail scroll viewer

Hey does anyone know where I can get a tut on making a scrolling thumbnail viewer from scratch? I tried to recreate the one in the tutorial here but for some reason I cannot get it to work. I need from scratch step by step (I learn better that way). I would very very much appreciate it. Thanks

Hum, yeah, that tute is not really great, as a lot of things can be optimized. Still it should work. Can you post the fla? Because there's no really point in explaining in a post what is in a tutorial already... :)
