Looks pretty good, but the content area seems really small. It might just be my rediculously large resolution setting but it seems as though you have far too much space outside of the box.

what about this: www.nuclearfusion.com.au/design2.jpg

made it bigger

I myself like the small one. Really just depends on how much content you're gonna have to fit in there.

yeah, nm content, im actualy thinking of having the content go down the bottom of that square, and that sqaure is for the navagation, whihc wil be similar to this: www.nuclearfusion.com.au/alpaca.html

i think there's too much of that grid silver pattern border on the bottom of the 2nd version. the 2nd version's better i think regardless. 1's just so small that everything will look crammed. you won't be able to add photos really if you use #1.

nope, dont like it...too dull for a reord company'z design, use bloodred, yellow something, should be lively, rest depends..if a clients like it, you shuld like it too :P

i agree with jasninder it looks awesome other than the need for an accent colour...

(btw, it could also be a fashion lable site, so if it doesnt suit a record company, i could use it for a fashion one)

wow that is awesome, i love it :thumb:

by accent colour i mean that my only crit is that it is too dark. the blue light thing helps but a lot of music sites extensively use an accent colour..

http://www.breakbeat.co.uk

how did you do the blue light thing??? getting it to knida spray out! tell me tell me! :beam:

lol, np, just use an outerglow (on the box in the middle) and the set the blending mode in the outer glow settin (not layer) to "colour dodge"

so which version is better? which, or without the metal border

Giles... you DON'T need an massive amounts of color for a DJ site, like 2 ppl here seem to think. Comments like that make a site good site go bad. What you had was fine... the metal border gives it a little bit more flavor, just cut back on it don't make it so thick. The subtle glow in the back was good too. You have a really strong layout right now. It's all about how you put the site together and how it flows. I wouldn't divert to far from what you already have. Colors can be good sometimes but they aren't neccessary. As an accent you have that pink and blue already goin on... just apply that to the content and some nice animated transitions or soemthing and you'd be golden.

Dunno I say take out the box in the middle with the blue glow.. the BG is really interesting , u can do alot with it instead of plonking a square box on top of it??
