the colors arent working well, and the background pattern doesnt really help.

Why is it so little? It takes up a small portion of my 1024x768 screen and some of your sub content windows are so small only 2 words per line show. Seems like a good start but trying making it a bit bigger.

I had an entirely different layout for what I originally had planned to do but it was pointed out to me that for what little content I had I should decrease the size of the site due to too much negative space.
The size of the site was originally a concern for me because like you said some of the sub content windows are small. But as I went through building I realized that the those small boxes were going to be relegated to content that wasn't neccessarily as important to the visitor as say, the portfolio sections. I basically kept the smaller boxes in just for asthetic purposes. Instead of having just one large box in the window I broke it up.
Thanks for the comments though, I appreciate them!

its a nice site, I like it, but I dont like the buttons sounds, it would be cool if u animate ur header too, maybe the clouds moving or something, its okay the size of the site, Im using 1152x768 and looks very good.

Thanks. Do you, or anyone reading this as a matter of fact, know where I can get some good sound FX? I was using Flashkit because it's the only site I know of where I can get free sounds. The sounds I have I am not crazy about either.
The clouds moving is a really cool idea, I'm going to try that. :)

Ruski, what colors would you suggest if you think the ones I am using are a no go? Thanks.

if you like green, i would suggest keeping that as the main color, and lighter and darker shades of green throughout the site, and an accent color.

I like your color choices. The only thing is the gradient behind the box headings "Welcome...", "News", "Links". That gradient needs to be toned down a bunch, or removed all together. That's the only thing I see, otherwise, love it, especially the way your thumbnails streak as they fly in from the right!

Also, make sure that your links in the web portfolio are absolute URL's with the http:// in front.

I have to say that it is way too small. Whoever told you that you don't have a lot of content didn't see how much you have. You have a lot! I think the site should be bigger. The news box seems way too smallwith only 1 or 2 words per line.
Personally, I don't care for the animated clouds. It looks like a cheesy animated gif from 1996. What would be dope is if they animated towards you, and followed the perspective of your road. BUt then again, clouds move kinda slow too.
I just wish the layout was bigger. All the other stuff, including your work, is great.

I'm not crazy about the moving clouds I put up either, I like the idea of moving clouds though. I would like them more realistic but I'm not sure how to go about that. Does anyone know how to get a better effect with clouds?

Ruski doesn't know what he's talking about. The colours are basically fine but I think you could mix up that forest green you have there with some different shades and desaturate it a bit. I think the sign would look better if it were yellow.
Overall I like it. I think it's going to be a very cool site.
O yea, the clouds are moving so slow that it's not really worth the kb in my opinion. How about animating the header by changing through night and day and through some birds or other animals in there.
paddy.

I'm not a fan of the gradients. The colours are fine but the site is a little cramped. Also on the Graphic, Web, Illustration and Flash pages, when you roll over the little boxes and they get bigger and show a little bit of the image they shouldn't go back to normal until you click them. If you know what I mean. Other than that great site. I'm really digging the sign with the PM in it.

I got rid of the clouds until I can figure something better out, I just put the original photo I used up in its place. Right now I'm working on some music for the site and then I will check out the gradients, cramping issues, buttons and such and post again when I have some more changes made.
But to everyone who has posted their opinions on my site; a big thank you to you all. They've helped me out a lot.

Music is up, I think it goes with the site. Mellow, same type of tone as the site. I'll be rejiggering the buttons now, but how's the music?
paddy.

I really like the music. I think you should use 'Grace Is Gone' as the first track though cos 'Taylor' starts a bit abruptly.

OK, I tweaked the rollovers in my menus under the portfolio sections. Just wondering if they act better than what I had? Thanks.
