I would like to get back into cartooning and thought a tablet would encourage me.
I see everyone talk about Wacom's, what sizes do people have...ok that sounded weird :smirk: are the small ones worth the money?

yeah the smallest is 100 and thats really all you need. Anything bigger is helpful but not needed...

It's worth every penny...

I have a Graphire and a 6x8 Intuos. The Intuos is more pressure sensitive and produces smoother lines but the Graphire is more than sufficient for cartooning purposes.

So, the graphire's only come in 4x5?

At work there's a 12x18 collecting dust, I'll have to see if I can make an offer on it.

Another thing you should look into getting...if you draw a lot and use Illustrator a lot also is Adobe's Streamline.

What it does it takes the scanned image and transforms it into illustrator - cuts down a lot of work sometimes. Other times you still have to hand clean your design.
