i was using the claw tutorial that comes with 3ds max 5 and was on the part where you are modelling the thumb (changing the degrees and stuff of it, its on the 'using mesh smooth to smooth...' page). In that section, it says something about using a 'view reference coordinate system' so the thumb doesn't look broken. Where can i find this? i've tried the user reference and it doesn't tell me where it can be found and what it does. I hope one of you will know, thx very much :)

I use max and I am not to sure what you are talking about. The coordinate system is a property you can change but I am not sure how that will help your image. I have not done that in a while hold on let run max real quick and see if I can help.

Okay I remember now. I just dont call it that we call it changing worlds. But anyway up dead in the middle of your max screen is a drop down. That should be defaulted to view. Click that drop then change your coordinates to what ever you want some of them are like screen, world parent....blah blah...That is what they are referring to. Be careful because that will changethe widget orientation. (your x, y and z)
SORRY blah I did not see this post. I have been hangin out in the MX board because I am trying to learn AS. You can PM me if you need help with max. Or email me. If it is a emergency.
