especially how it was 3d and just looked very nice

Goodness!! These entries are awesome, I envy you guys. It was hard to decide, but it came down to eilsoe's and soul's. I ended up voting for Soul's because I liked the colors he used and the amount of detail put in. Eilsoe's piece is detailed as well, but the colors weren't too appealing. Great job everyone. =)

Loved them all but I was torn between eilsoe and kax. kax's shadows are what impressed me most, and if the castle was populated or had a little more color, I might have voted there, but I instead took to eilsoe's because of the people and captions ;) It also embodies more what I think of as 'pixel art', which is very straight or isometric, not to say those that werent wer bad because of that; in fact that gives a more impressive look and feel, but I needed some fun and eilsoe delivered. What shocked me most is that there were more people waiting in line at the mens bathrooms... hmm, guess its mostly guys there. :) The duck reflections were also a nice touch.

Soul was a close 3rd.

It's actually a castle from here in England, near Gloucester. Used to go up around there on holiday when I was a kid, and I had some old holiday snaps.

There's lots of ruined castles round here (there's one 15 minutes from where I live in fact, called Rochester Castle) so I wanted to draw one of those, do something a bit different.

But Soul and Eilsoe are in a whole new league with their pixel art. :)

Wow, these have to be the best pixel art designs I have seen created. I voted for soul's because it just simple, angled. I also really liked all the things going on in eilsoe's graphic. If it wasn't for the wall eilsoe (I like cool slanted, twisted things) I would have def voted for your cool graphic. It was more of a tie between both of you guys really =)

Kit your castle was wild, was it done from a photograph? Yeah, I used one of my old holiday snaps as a reference. One of the places I used to get taken on holiday to when I was a kid was up near Gloucester, and there was this old ruined castle. Used to love going there, and in the middle of this battle I suddenly remembered it and dug out my old photos. Had that next to me while I was drawing it. :)
